Window Three Quote

"This brings me to the next idea behind punishment. One thing I’ve learned spending time as a corporate trainer is this: You can’t force people to do things they don’t want to do. This was the most difficult realization for me. I would get sent to a division to spend time with an entire sales team. The trouble was that not all the sales team wanted to be there. Therefore, they spent their time trying to challenge any material that was being presented, which in turn interfered with the ability of the others to learn. Furthermore, if they didn’t want to be a part of the training itself, what are the odds that they would use it later?"
