The reason people find such difficulty in letting go of places, jobs and people has to do with the difficulty found in change. The difficulty in letting go of what’s familiar. The difficulty of stepping into the unknown.

I've had moments that I can look back on that relate exactly to what is being talked about. Change, there is no doubt it's difficult. Not sure I believe it's even a choice anymore.
Bluffton. I believe I've driven through there before. Nice courthouse. On the wabash right?
The hardest part of life could have used some Coldplay music in the background. Good message though. I was the same way when leaving for college. Must be a small hometown thing. Now I'm proud that I came from my hometown and am learning what great benefits it offered, i.e. school, safety, relationships, etc. Thanks for the post.
Yes, Bluffton is on the Wabash and it does have a nice courthouse. That's one of the reason I chose to use a pic with the courthouse in it. And to Titan, like you said, our school system was amazing and there was a great sense of community...especially during our yearly 'street fair.' Also planned to use Coldplay song at the end, but for future reasons and copyright, I did not. I'm assuming that you were referring to the song, "The Hardest Part"? If so, that is one of my favorites and used it in the video for my Grandfathers memorial.
I too did the "bashing of your hometown" bit when I went to college. Not sure why either. Guess it's like you said, I was ready for a change. I think most seniors in High School are, only at that age, you don't have as much control over the change in your life until you graduate college. Good video and thanks for sharing.
Great work, Jon! Where was this episode five years ago?!?! Having walked through some low valleys in my life, this was the one thing I learned and will carry with me for the rest of my life.... I wish I didn't have to learn the hard way, but such is life! Thanks for sharing this intelligent message!
Again, I love relating the real life scenarios that you create and putting them toward my career history, ideas, and changes to come! I took a lot from this one, and one of the most important lessons I learned in the working world. Great work, Jon! By the way, I am still really enjoying the new format of the articles... Keep em coming!
