Wednesday, January 4, 2012 at 9:36PM 008 - Here's to the CRAZY Ones!
What was described in the situation with the heart attack would be classified as an Extreme Circumstance. Other examples of this might include an alcoholic quits drinking because of a near death collision, a husband hits his wife causing her to leave, an employee gets fired causes him to seek a new career. All of these are extreme circumstance that fuel a determination or resolve for change.

Saw that story in the Steve Jobs book which turned out to be great! I get the change thing, I've been on a lot of diets in my life and none have stuck. I guess I need more emotion to make it happen. I also think that each failure makes my eating habits that much more concrete. Also like the new video look. The red really pops!
Good video. I've already forwarded on to my team. I also like the new look!
This goes along well with last weeks post relating to churches not keeping up with the times. As a Pastor, I often wonder when mainline churches will get to a 'point of no return.' Obviously it won't happen to all of them, but we are steadily losing them now. Most Pastors already know what is happening and it gets discussed occasionally, but what kind of Dramatic Circumstance would it take to open us up to new ideas. Thanks for the post.
All my life, I've wondered why some times I'm more successful at something than other times... and how I can put that emotion behind it is something that, albeit day five of 2012, is something I'm focusing on to keep my drive! I LOVE the new background, and really love the ending of this post! I've always liked to consider myself a crazy one! I'd love to be one of the greats!
Love that ending. One of the greatest add campaigns of all time. Right up there with GOT MILK?
Agree with the rest of the gang in liking the new background. This is a remarkable post that seems simple but most don't get. Change is tough! Get used to it if you want anything of value in life.
Like Pastor5 mentioned, this post goes well with the last one "The biggest building in town." Good timing for this message.
Super Post! Makes you wonder if it's possible for a team to change without wiping out most of the group. Being that we aren't very good at change that must be why bring in all new people happens so often. Certainly nobody likes when that happens, but hey, if you can't change then you aren't leaving ownership much of a choice. Thanks for sharing!
