Window Three defines emotional intelligence as a person's ability to understand oneself and others, and to feature this understanding through choices, and the use of effective communication.  Individuals who have high levels of emotional intelligence can identify, assess and control the emotions of oneself, of others and of groups. Unlike a person's IQ, emotional intelligence can be developed. 

Emotional Intelligence can also be described as social intelligence, multiple intelligences, behavioral intelligence or EQ.  They all relate to the same ideas which are based on the choices we make in relation to those with whom we interact (including oneself).
